So finally our family vacation and guess what?
We'll Audrey was about to turn eight and she wanted to go stay in a fancy hotel for her Birthday, so we went to the Venetian. It was gorgeous and we had a lot of fun and then we all got sick. Of course- right as soon as we call get away and relax. I first got pink eye which was the worst case I ever had. Then we all got some kind of sore throat body ache bug. We were all doped up on Tylenol and cold medicine which made it bearable but by the last day we were all exhausted. As you may know when your in Las Vegas at the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel things look closer than they seem. So just a couple of blocks somehow turns into an hour of walking. Which was nice exercise but we were so tired already. Needless to say it was taxi time after that. The kids loved the Shark reef at Mandalay bay, which if you are going to Las Vegas soon has the best pools. Audrey enjoyed shopping for her birthday, which she still has the majority of her money saved, I am impressed. Emmy loved staring out of the window of our hotel room, which was a huge window with just a small ledge to sit on 10 stories high. She was totally fascinated! This trip I also realized how big my kids are getting Tyler especially, time seems to be flying at times. I just want to keep them with me forever. Even though we got sick it was so relaxing. I totally enjoy being waited on and not having to cook. I mean why call it a vacation if you have to cook- right. We also enjoyed chilling in the Venetians garden pools. Which made me want a pool even sooner than we are planning. I can't wait! Excalibur had little carnival games which the kids were lucky enough to each walk away with three prizes so the games were not a total waste. I think we actually got more than we paid for. Lucky Doug is very coordinated because if you know me, I am not. Maybe in the next life, but for now I am enjoying what I have.

Sounds like the vacation was a success!! I can't wait for my kids to get old enough to do some of these types of trips. Vegas is so fun!
